Women Will

Women Will is an organization on campus which focuses on raising awareness of women’s issues. They sponsor the annual Take Back The Night rally, as well as other events for Providence College. Women Will is open to all students, male or female.

It’s On Us

It’s On Us has grown into the nation’s largest nonprofit program dedicated to college sexual assault prevention and survivor support activating students on hundreds of campuses in our awareness and education programs. The Providence College Chapter is here to support survivors and combat campus sexual violence.

S.H.E.P.A.R.D

S.H.E.P.A.R.D. (Stopping Homophobia, Eliminating Prejudices And Restoring Dignity) is a support group for all members of the LGBTQQIAA* community who choose to become involved.

S.H.E.P.A.R.D. seeks to educate the college community on  issues of sexual orientation. This organization provides a supportive environment in which students can discuss issues of sexual orientation freely and openly.

Women Empowered

Women Empowered empowers multicultural women through engaging the campus in activities on issues that women of color face daily both on and off campus. They are a group that provides a safe place to discuss these issues, while also providing support. Their organization also engages in social, cultural, and community service events centered around multicultural womanhood.

Her Campus

Her Campus is an online magazine targeted at the female college student demographic. Content in the magazine is written by more than 7,000 contributors from more than 400 campus chapters located in nine countries. The magazine was founded in 2009 by three Harvard University undergraduates: Stephanie Kaplan, Windsor Hanger Western, and Annie Wang. The women met in 2007 while working on a separate Harvard online publication. In November 2010, Glamour Magazine honored the women at its Women of the Year Awards ceremony, where they were presented with the Amazing Young Women Award.

Iota Iota Iota Honor Society

Iota Iota Iota (aka Triota) is an egalitarian, national society of scholars dedicated to excellence in the field of Women’s and Gender Studies, and to the WGS principles of interdisciplinarity, intersectionality, and women’s empowerment and gender justice, both inside and outside of the classroom. Triota is committed to upholding feminist values, and to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students can connect, research, and build community as they work together towards gender justice, and towards dismantling interlocking systems of oppression. 

Women in Business

Women in Business is a student-run organization that holds events with the purpose of motivating Providence College students to explore and follow their career goals, navigate judgment and hardships being a female in the workforce and network to make long-lasting, valuable connections. Women in Business holds events with outside guest speakers, as well as workshops with PC’s career services. Women in Business is a growing club that strives to inspire students to be the best version of themselves, personally, socially and professionally.
