“My WGS degree has integrally shaped how I view the world and what kinds of stories I want to tell. My professional goal I have stated on my website is “to bring truthful and helpful information to others while uplifting diverse voices and stories,” and that is a direct result of my WGS education. My studies and the people within the department taught me how society functions, and then inspired me to go out and make a difference in it. On a more personal note, the WGS department gave me such a great support system and community during my time at PC, and that has continued as I start my journey as an alum.”
Maria Mantini ’26 is a Women’s and Gender Studies and Political Science double major who works as a choreographer for Arlington Children’s Theatre and writes the Substack publication Personal Profiles, with aspirations of a career in journalism, media, and television production.
