On October 29, 2025, The Women’s and Gender Studies Department had the honor of hosting Providence College Alum, Mallary Tenore Tarpley, to speak about her new book, SLIP: Life in the Middle of Eating Disorder Recovery (Simon and Schuster, August 2025).
In ‘Slip’ Tarpley weaves together personal lived experience, in-depth narrative interview data, and meticulous research to illuminate diverse challenges, realities, progress, and meaning-making in the context of living with and navigating eating disorders and eating disorder recovery today.
